Shaw and Tom Matthews founded Matthews Brothers Dredging in 1999 for one kind of customer: industrial terminals, energy companies and ports that can't afford to shut down. Keeping those operations running while the dredging gets done became the whole point of the company.
That's why they run a mechanical, clamshell-driven process, paired with custom-built barges like the MBI-08 dredge and the MBI-007 unloading barge. It keeps docks operational, protects buried pipelines and delivers the survey-verified results serious operators demand.
Today, that same owner-operated company serves industrial terminals, ports, municipalities, marinas and federal projects across Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Texas.
